I am an experienced editor and writer in the fields of medicine (specifically rheumatology), EMS, public safety communications and law enforcement.
I can take raw material from a subject matter expert and turn it into a polished article that’s understandable by the general public. Or I can do the research, attend the seminars and conduct the interviews to write the original content needed for print or online publication. I have written on a freelance basis for publications as distinct as the San Diego Radio Guide, Caring for the Ages and The Hospitalist.
I have been an editor for well over 20 years, with experience editing magazines, newsletters, personal memoirs, book proposals, dissertations, textbooks and more. I’ve used the AP Stylebook for years, and helped create in-house style guides for several publications.
